After an extensive interview process, the Toronto Maple Leafs finally settled on a head coach replacement for Craig Berube. The 60-year-old Berube was fired following a 32-36-14 season and last-place finish in the Atlantic Division.

Jim Hiller is the 41st head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The former Los Angeles Kings coach had been an assistant coach with Toronto.

The 57-year-old, who most recently spent two seasons as head coach in Los Angeles, is the first coaching hire by new Leafs GM John Chayka.

The Maple Leafs have hired Jim Hiller as their new head coach. He had a 93-58-24 record over parts of three seasons as the coach of the Kings.
